This calculator estimates the heat a power amplifier dumps into the rack from its rated wattage and efficiency class. The dissipated power is the rated power times one minus the efficiency, converted to BTU per hour. Enter the amplifier wattage and pick the class (AB, H, or D); Class D runs coolest. Add the result to the rack's total heat load.
