RT60 Reverberation Time Calculator
This calculator estimates a room's mid-band reverberation time (RT60), how long sound takes to decay, using the Sabine equation: RT60 = 0.161 times the room volume divided by the surface area times its average absorption. Enter the room length, width, and height and choose how the surfaces are treated. Speech intelligibility usually wants 0.4 to 0.6 seconds, and the result flags whether the room is on target, too live, or too dry.
